The ski season at Mammoth Mountain typically runs from November to late April or early May. However, the exact dates may vary depending on snowfall and weather conditions each year.

The snow in Mammoth Mountain is real. While it is known for its significant snowfall and typically receives abundant natural snow, snowmaking allows the resort to open more terrain earlier in the season and maintain quality snow conditions even during periods when natural snowfall might be limited.

The resort is easily accessible by car, making for a worthwhile and memorable road trip on the historic Hwy 395. Or hit the skies and fly into Mammoth Yosemite Airport located 20 minutes outside of town or Bishop Airport located 45 minutes out of town.
