Since its establishment in 1981, Deer Valley has been unwavering in its dedication to excellence across all facets of its operations. The resort expanded from five chairlifts to 21, increased ski runs from 35 to 103, enhanced lodgings from two day lodges to three, multiplied ski instructors from 50 to over 500 (establishing one of the largest ski schools in the country), and elevated total staff members from 200 to over 2,800 today. Team members have been integral parts of the Deer Valley family for over two decades. Beyond the winter season, Deer Valley offers an array of summer activities, including lift-served mountain biking and hiking, scenic chairlift rides, and the Summer Adventure Camp for children. The Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater hosts three concert series throughout the summer: the Utah Symphony’s Deer Valley Music Festival, the Deer Valley Concert Series, and Mountain Town Music's free community concerts. In 2002, Deer Valley proudly hosted the freestyle mogul, aerial, and alpine slalom events for Salt Lake City’s Olympic Winter Games. The 2020-2021 season marked 25 years of Deer Valley Resort serving as the venue for elite international athletic competitions, including 19 FIS World Cup and three FIS Freestyle World Championship events. Our commitment to excellence through hosting major events and surpassing guests' expectations will forever be the hallmark of Deer Valley’s enduring legacy.
