Castle Mountain Resort is home to one of North America’s only resort based cat skiing operation; the Powder Stagecoach. The resort is renowned for long steep runs and an annual snowfall averaging 900 centimeters, the substantial snowfall here is a delight for any avid snow enthusiast. When it comes to diverse terrain, Castle Mountain offers it in true Rocky Mountain fashion. The terrain spans 2,833 vertical feet, encompassing steep slopes, deep powder, natural drops, chutes, bowls, gladed areas, meticulously groomed cruisers, and gentle rolling terrain. For an extraordinary backcountry experience, Castle's Powder Stagecoach takes you on a one-day adventure to explore open bowls and hidden powder treasures. The Powder Stagecoach Cat Skiing stands as one of the rare resort-based Cat Ski operations in western Canada and is renowned as Alberta's premier Cat Skiing adventure. Despite the name, Castle Mountain Resort is not actually on Castle Mountain, which is about 240 kilometres (150 mi) away within Banff National Park.
