Chapa Verde is located 53 kilometers from Rancagua and 138 kilometers from Santiago.

By car, from Rancagua, take El Cobre Highway towards the East until Maitenes control. All private vehicles require a Pass to enter El Teniente. Once you have entered the mine, go to Colón Alto without leaving the highway and take a detour to Chapa Verde (dirt road). Depending on the condition of the road, a 4×4 vehicle is required.
