Situated in close proximity to Mt. Hakkai, the Muikamachi Hakkaisan Ski Resort finds its location 15km southeast of Minamiuonuma city in Niigata Prefecture. The resort stands 13km to the northeast of Muikamachi town, 30km northeast of Yuzawa, and approximately 228km northwest of Tokyo.

The best time to visit for skiing is during the winter season, typically from mid-December – late March when the slopes are open and well-covered with snow.
