Tukino - Weather forecast

Tukino Ski Field is located on the eastern slopes of Mount Ruapehu, within Tongariro National Park on the North Island of New Zealand.

It typically runs from late June to October, depending on snow conditions. Please note that Tukino is a club ski field and has limited operating days. Find out more.

The snow in Tukino is real and it receives an average of 86cm snowfall during the winter season.

Access is primarily by a Mountain Shuttle Service to take you up to the field & lodges  & the 4WD-only access road continues a further 7km direct to the ski field, and lodges. It is recommended to check road conditions before planning a visit. Find out more.

There are no on-mountain accommodations at Tukino, however, visitors can stay in nearby towns such as Turangi or National Park Village, which offer a range of lodging options.
