Big Sky Faqs
The Big Sky Ski Resort is situated within the Madison Mountain Range, which forms a part of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Located in the southwestern region of Montana, it is approximately 1-hour southwest of Bozeman.
The regional Bozeman airport serves as the nearest airport to Big Sky, offering direct flights from several major airports. However, in comparison to other ski destinations in the western United States, the number of direct flights may be relatively limited. Fortunately, affordable shuttles are readily available from the Bozeman airport to transport visitors to Big Sky. Alternatively, car rentals can be found at the airport, though once you’ve arrived at Big Sky, a car is typically unnecessary for getting around the resort area.
