Winter Park Ski Resort has been in operation since 1939 and is known for its extensive terrain, family-friendly atmosphere, and rich history. The resort offers a variety of winter activities, including downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. With over 3,000 skiable acres that span across two distinct mountains, Winter Park Ski Resort is home to a majority of beginner and intermediate trails, as well as amazing tree skiing, world-class moguls, and wide-open alpine bowls. The resort is also known for having one of the largest and oldest disabled skiing programs in the world, the National Sports Center for the Disabled. In addition to skiing, Winter Park boasts the most extensive lift access summer mountain biking trails in Colorado. In 2018, Winter Park Ski Resort was named "Best ski resort in North America" as voted by the readers of USA Today.
